Today is the first day John has figured out how to go from a sitting position to a standing position in order to walk around. YAY! He took his first steps back in August and since then he has been walking but always holding onto something. Just last week (I don't have an exact date because it was kind of over the space of a few days) he started to let go of whatever he is holding and walking much longer distances than ever before. After a few days of this he finally decided on Friday Sept 25th that walking was the cool thing to do and he stopped holding onto things and started walking everywhere that he could. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen to see him put his arms out in front of him like Frankenstein and walk around just for the sake of walking!!
Today I am watching Eli (John's BFF) and they have been chasing each other around the room ALL DAY LONG screaming and giggling their heads off! I looked over at one point after hearing a thud (they're both sporting bruises from falling repeatedly!) and saw John land on the floor then stood up and started going again. I was so excited I kept my little phone camera on him until he did it again!! I'm such a dork :)
11 months 3 weeks and 5 days old.
I love "Firsts". I know I probablly won't be as thorough recording all my other kids "Firsts" but at least John will have an accurate record of his life...hehehehe! Poor future children of mine!!

Yay for walking! He is so cute. And don't worry about not recording your future kids firsts. My parents ditched out on the firsts with me. I'm the third (but only the second kind of) and I got nadda. But the good news is, you kind of get back into the recording groove when you feel like you're coming to the last of your kids. My mom thought my sister was her last so she recorded everything and then when they had my bro and he really was the last, they recorded all of him too. So just a few will get left out if you're lucky! :)
