The Twilight Series

Today I FINALLY finished reading the last book in the Twilight series...HURRAY!!

During Christmas my sister Brittanny read all the Twilight books in less than 2 weeks. I've had a lot of people ask me if I've read them yet and I've always told them no. So I decided to ask Brittanny if it was worth the read and she said yes.

I started reading them over Christmas and I just finished with the 4th book earlier on this evening....I'm a REALLY slow and thorough reader! I must say I really enjoyed reading those books. I have my good points and my bad points concerning the series but all in all I enjoyed them. I was talking with a friend about them after I finished and she made the greatest comparison to the books and I fully agree with what she said....

These books are junk food books! They are not really "good" for you in a sense of being a healthy read but they are just fun and majorly addicting. It's like a bag of your favorite potato chips, once you start you just keep eating the potato chips until they are gone!! They get addicting. It was the same for me with these books. I could not stop reading them. My poor husband and baby had to deal with a messy house and microwave meals because I couldn't get my head out of those books.

It was fun while it lasted but now life can get back to same old same old! I'll have to find something else soon to read once I get my house in tip top shape....any suggestions?!

Rolling Over!

HURRAY!!

I'm happy to announce that on Saturday January 24, 2008 at 11:20 a.m. our little boy John (as seen in this picture) who is 3 months 3 weeks and 1 day old successfully rolled over for his first time!!

I was changing his diaper and for the past while he's been throwing his legs over and getting up on his side but never actually getting all the way over. He started to do that again and I nudged his side and he got up onto his stomach. I was talking to my mom and he was just looking around at everything on his stomach and all of the sudden he put his arm straight out and rolled his body over onto his back again. I was SSSOOOO excited!! I started screaming "Yay Yay" and my told my mom what he just did. She was SUPER excited as well.

So of course me being the proud little mommy I am ran to get the video camera and guess who got camera shy and wouldn't do it again?! He's pretty tired right now though so maybe I'll be able to get him to do it again once he takes a nap....we'll see!!!

The Three Musketeers!

I am seriously in love with these 3 boys!! Funny thing is whenever they get a camera on them they will not smile to save their lives!!!! Sometimes we can get a pretty cute smile out of Logan but Tau will never smile. John also has issues with smiling on camera. He's such a smiley boy every other time...except when you point a camera at him.

It was really cute over Christmas watching all three boys together. According to Tau-John is HIS Baby! Every time he was around him he would hold him and kiss him and look at everyone and say, "Ooooohh da Baby!" No one else was allowed to touch "da baby" without Tau being right there supervising.

Tau and Logan are majorly into dancing right now. Whenever they hear music they stop everything they are doing wo they can start doing the silliest dance! They love going over to my moms house and turning on and off her radio. They are just too cute!

I know this isn't the best quality of videos but it sure is cute. Notice how Tau will "Dance Dance" then fall on the floor and every time he looks up at John like "Wasn't that cool!?!" Then he'll get him to do it again and again!

Standing Up

I think my little guy is seriously cute! I took this picture of him at 2 months old. Since then he doesn't like to do anything but stand up. If you're holding him he'll fight you until you stand him up...holding on to our fingers for support obviously. We went to the doctors office last week for his 3 month check and he is 16 1/2 pounds already. She told me I needed to lay him down more to play especially on his stomach so he'll get use to it. This kid HATES being on his stomach. He doesn't mind being on his back so much and he's even trying to roll over (he gets almost there then can't get over his fat little arms so he rolls back!), but he can't stand it when I put him on his stomach. At this rate he probably won't want to learn to crawl or roll onto his stomach so he'll just skip ahead to walking!!!
...probablly not but I can't figure out how to get him to like being on the floor more!

My First Hamburger!!!

I know everyone is not going to believe this but I have never eaten a hamburger until just a few days ago! Even when I was little I would always ask for the chicken nuggets rather than a hamburger because I always thought that I didn't like them and that they tasted gross. Well after 24 years I finally got up the guts and ate my very first hamburger. What was my verdict?... Not good enough to order for myself again, but not bad enough to stop eating it!!

We were driving home the other night and Daniel and I hadn't eaten dinner yet. We passed an "IN N OUT" burger joint and Daniel asked me, "Are you ready to eat your first hamburger yet?" I probably would have said no if I wasn't so hungry, but I said yes so we stopped off and got some dinner. Daniel ordered for me and I got a Strawberry shake, french fries, and a cheeseburger with everything but onions. I LOVED the shake, the fresh fries, and everything on the hamburger...except for the actual hamburger part! I'm sorry but I just absolutely don't like the taste of hamburger. I finished off the entire thing which I was really proud of myself for.
All in all it was a good experience eating my first hamburger, although I don't plan on making eating hamburgers a habit. And as you can see I did give it a 2 thumbs up so all of you hamburger lovers out there won't be too disappointed in me...hehehe!!

Aunt Rose

The day before we went to Utah we stopped off to visit Daniel's sister Rose. Her kids were really excited to see the baby!
